We're proud to expand our peer support and recovery services to specifically meet the needs of older adults across North Carolina. Aging brings unique challenges: isolation, loss, chronic pain, transitions, and the complicated relationship many older adults have with prescription medications and alcohol.
Our older adult program is designed by people who understand that recovery and wellness look different at this stage of life, and that the wisdom and life experience older adults bring deserves to be honored.
Our NC Certified Peer Support Specialists pursue the COAPS designation, a specialty credential through the North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist Program (NCCPSS) that prepares NC Certified Peer Support Specialists to work specifically with the aging population on mental health, substance use, and recovery-related challenges.
We meet older adults where they are, with peer support that honors their experience and connects them to the right community resources.
Support for depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and the emotional weight of life transitions, all delivered with patience and respect.
Older adults are uniquely affected by prescription medication use and alcohol. We offer peer support for those navigating recovery later in life.
Loneliness is a serious health issue for older adults. Our NC Certified Peer Support Specialists provide consistent, meaningful human connection.
Retirement, the loss of a spouse, downsizing, or moving into a new living situation. We walk alongside you through these changes.
We help you access senior services, Medicare, Medicaid, in-home care, transportation, and the community resources available where you live.
We work with family members and caregivers to make sure the older adults in their lives have the wraparound support they need.
Our older adult peer support program is now accepting referrals. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, a family member, or a client, we'd love to talk.
Start a ReferralRecovery is more than treatment. It's transportation to appointments. It's a hot meal. It's someone who picks up the phone. It's a landlord willing to listen. We provide peer support and therapy directly, and we help you find and connect to those other pieces in your own community.
Our team includes licensed clinicians, NC Certified Peer Support Specialists, and recovery-focused care coordinators. Every one of us is committed to walking alongside our community, not above it.
